About a month ago, I started noticing posters and billboards along New York City streets and subways for a New York Knicks website called KnicksNow.com, so of course I had to go check it out. The only problem was when I tried, a username and password authentication screen appeared. Today, I saw a woman with an orange t-shirt displaying the Knicks Now URL on the back of it and decided to revisit the site. Remember Jeremy Pargo from Gonzaga? Perhaps you know him better as the brother of former NBA guard Jannero Pargo. Well, now Jeremy plays for Israel powerhouse Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv, and last night he got straight grimey. Watch him break dude’s ankles and then yam all over the center. Oh yeah, and the Chicago native is only 6-2.
Following a year of disappointment that ended without an invite to the Big Dance, North Carolina is still left scratching their heads after a 4-2 start this season. The hype around this year’s Tar Heels surrounds the arrival of Harrison Barnes, the 6-8 versatile small forward who was seen by most as the No. 1 player coming out of high school. Story sound familiar? Barnes is in a similar situation as Carmelo Anthony during the 2002-03 season when he arrived at Syracuse.
