There are so many things wrong with this MSG/Knicks ad, we don’t even know where to start. We’re honestly shocked it was approved by the team and the NBA. The only thing we like about this ad is the word “Dime” in it. Read More »

Welcome to the NBA, Jonas Valanciunas! You’re not an NBA player until you’ve been caught on a poster. (Kevin Durant himself was on the receiving end on an incredible dunk a few days ago.)
If you watch closely, you can see Jonas try to escape this dunk at the last second – but it was too late. Read More »

Celtics rookie Greg Stiemsma has blocked everything in sight so far this season. But every shot blocker knows the risk that comes with swatting shots…sometimes you get dunked on. Bad. And John Wall caught Stiemsma with a nasty one last night. Read More »

Just when you think you’ve seen it all, the NBA pulls one of the most unbelievable, inexplicable, outrageous moves any of us have ever seen.
Short of getting Rajon Rondo and a first-round pick or two, this Chris Paul trade is as good as it gets for a player walking out the door anyway. And if the NBA’s concern is “super teams,” they should have effectively addressed that in collective bargaining. Blocking a legitimate basketball trade because a few sore losers didn’t like it is inexcusable and bad for business. Read More »

This has been the week of the point guard. With all the Rajon Rondo trade talk, Chris Paul trade talk, Rondo-for-Paul trade talk, and Deron Williams planning to opt out of his Nets deal, point guards have dominated the NBA landscape.
One of the most heated arguments of the week was over who would you rather have, Rondo or CP3? With that in mind, I decided to rank my Top 10 point guards in the NBA right now. Read More »

Now we can talk about the fun stuff – actual basketball. The next few weeks are going to be crazy, with teams racing to get ready for the season while adding a ton of new faces to their rosters at the same time.
We all know about next year’s monster free agents, Chris Paul and Dwight Howard. But there are some nice players available now you’d love to have on your squad. Read More »

Love. That’s the only word to describe what happened when J.J. Barea hit the Foot Locker in Puerto Rico’s Plaza Las Americas mall this past weekend.
I’ve attended dozens of NBA player store appearances, and I’ve never seen so much love. Not for Kobe, LeBron, KD, Wade or CP3. This was different. Read More »

LeBron is the best player in the world. And LeBron is a killer. That’s why something isn’t adding up.
I love the little details of the game of basketball. Things like the fact that in the NBA the home team’s captain or best shooter picks the game ball before introductions. Last night, in the final moments of the Mavs’ clinching game, something happened that wasn’t discussed on the TV broadcast but I found really strange:

If you’re looking for a great outdoor hoop shoe for the summer, Nike just added the Zoom Sharkley to its iD stable. Lots of colors and materials.
