This dunk that Kobe put on Todd MacCulloch‘s head during the 2002 NBA Finals is probably one of the most overlooked facials in Finals history. It was nasty. This new commercial (titled “Forever Kobe”) from the league’s Finals 2013 “BIG” campaign begins airing tonight, and it’s probably going to be one of our favorite commercials of the year. The All-NBA Teams were announced this afternoon, headlined, once again, by LeBron James. He was the only player to receive all 119 First-Team votes. Joining the King on the First Team is Kevin Durant, Tim Duncan, Kobe Bryant and Chris Paul. This is the Mamba’s 11th First-Team selection, tying him with Karl Malone for the most ever. Read More »

In Miami’s crazy Game 1 win last night, Chris Andersen must’ve been the unsung hero. He went for 16 points and didn’t miss a shot from the floor, hanging all over the rim whenever the Pacers forgot about him. Afterward, he was invited up to the TNT set and got involved in a funny interview with the guys. The best part about this whole segment is you know Birdman was PISSED when they said he had to wear the headphones and screw up his immaculate mohawk. Read More »

On this day in 1988, Dominique Wilkins and Larry Bird traded haymakers during the fourth quarter of Game 7 of the 1988 Eastern Conference Semifinals. It became known as “The Duel,” one of the greatest mano-e-mano performances in playoff history. Wilkins rang up 47 points, but Bird countered with 20 of his 34 in the final quarter, pushing Boston to a two-point win and a series win. Read More »
