Loving the C’s tonight.
Look, I know my track record stinks, in fact most people are betting against me and making a fortune, but come on. The World Champion Celtics are only a 5.5 point favorite tonight against the Pacers. I know the C’s are playing a back to back. I know Jim O’Brien might have it out for his former squad. I know the game is on the road. But come on. If I gambled, which I of course don’t, I’d be all over the C’s tonight.

25/1? No respect.
As many of you know, last year I was a complete disaster. But for every gambler, there is a new day and that day is today. I don’t love any of tonight’s game… with the possible exception of the over/under of the Celtics/Cavs game. 180? I like the over.
I did want to drop the Bodog preseason odds to take the NBA Championship. Things that jump out at me as intriguing long shot bets – The Mavericks at 25/1, the Cavs at 14/1, Clippers at 80/1, Spurs at 12/1 and the Raptors at 28/1. Even the Hornets at 10/1 is a nice bet. What do you guys like?

Will KB24 win it this season?
You noticed the asterisks didn’t you? While we don’t necessarily agree with the headline above, that is the projected outcome for this June according to Vegas.com‘s NBA Championship Futures. At a current 3/1 clip, the Lakers are favored to win over the Celtics (7/2), Hornets (6/1) and Pistons (7/1).
While the Top 3 make sense to us, are the Pistons really that close to another NBA title? Sure the addition of a new coach Michael Curry and the emergence of Rodney Stuckey must have them continuing to think playoffs, but rising above the Celtics and Cavs is a long shot in my mind. Read More »

USA Today has the Celtics at 9.5-point underdogs going into tonight’s game. Bodog.com has it at 9 points. That’s a whole lot of points for a Celtics squad that is up two games to none in the NBA Finals. That being said, I’m not sure I’d bet on this game. Don’t get me wrong, I certainly would not take the Lakers and I definitely think the C’s are extremely tempting, but the Lakers not only need to win this game, they need to make a statement. It’s tempting, though. Very, very, very tempting.
Would you bet it?

Look, I know my track record isn’t great. Okay, it flat out stinks. But come on … the spread tonight for the Celtics/Cavs game is 9.5 points? 10 in some places? That’s way too many. I know the Celtics are playing at home, and I think they will win, but I also think game one is a close contest.
So here’s the pick:
Cleveland (+9.5) over BOSTON.
P.S. – If you followed my success throughout the year, you’d now go and bet the house the other way.

Have you guys read the comments in this post?
There’s a dude who straight rips me apart. Sure, my gambling predictions haven’t been so strong, but every degenerate hits a rough patch. It’s all about staying strong and continuing to put bets out there. Anyway, for the D-bag who suggested that they fire me, these predictions are for you…
Jazz (-5) over the CLIPPERS – I really believe the Jazz are much better than a 5-point favorite over the Clippers. Even if it’s in LA.
CAVS (-3) over Washington – Looks like Caron will sit out another. Even if only some of the new-look Cavs play, LeBron is definitely suiting up and that’s good enough for more than a 3 point win over the Wizards in their home arena.

Second half NBA action starts tonight and so does my gambling turnaround. To be honest, my turnaround seemed to start Wednesday before the All-Star game when I had my first strong night going for 3 wins, 0 losses and a push.
Tonight is tough. There are a ton of games and not much that I like. Here we go though.
*UNDER of the Warriors vs. JAZZ (225) – The Warriors and Suns scored a combined 238 points in there last game and were on absolute fire. I don’t see the same tonight. I think this is a little high.
Hawks (+11) over the LAKERS – Here is the problem. I like this move IF Bibby plays tonight. It looks like he will, but it isn’t for sure yet. It isn’t that Bibby will make the difference tonight, but I just have to like the confidence that Atlanta is going to have with Bibby on the squad.
Home team in caps.

I should have gone 2-1 last night if the OT hadn’t killed the over/under of the Heat vs. Nuggets. Here is what I like tonight…
*LOVE the Spurs (-3) vs. CAVS – Big Z is banged up (although playing). Field day for Duncan.
Grizzlies (+9.5) vs. SIXERS – Can Memphis put together two solid games in a row? Is Philly really 9.5 points better than the Grizz?
UNDER of the Pacers vs. PISTONS (198) – The Pacers have no point guard and are coming off a toss loss. 198 is a lot of points for these two teams to score.
UNDER of the Suns vs. WARRIORS (238) – I know both these two teams light it up, but 238??? Gotta go under.

Judging by the last two days, whatever I go with, you should go with the opposite. It has been a tough couple of days for the Non-Gambler but I think I bounce back tonight.
I like a couple of over/unders.
*UNDER of the Denver vs. HEAT game (210)
UNDER of the Kings vs. GRIZZLIES game (211)
I also like the Kings (-5) at the GRIZZLIES
Last night. 0-2. Tough night.

Here are the games I like tonight:
*Mavericks (-3.5) over the SIXERS – I know the Mavs just got blown out. I know they aren’t playing the best ball. I know the game is on the road. I’m still taking Dallas.
Portland (+8.5) over the ROCKETS – The Rockets are playing outstanding ball and the Blazers burned me a bit the other day. The key though? Brandon Roy is back and I don’t think the Blazers get the beat down with Roy in the lineup.
Home Team in Caps
*Favorite of the night
Last Night: 0 for 3. All three were crazy close to the spreads.
