At one point, Omer Asik‘s body language resembled Charlie Brown after Lucy had yanked the football away from him yet again. That’s what LaMarcus Aldridge has done to most every Houston defender they’ve thrown at him during back-to-back games of 40-plus points in Houston to take a commanding 2-0 series lead heading back to Portland. GIF: Josh McRoberts’ Forearm Shiver to LeBron James’ Throat

LeBron James, Josh McRoberts

The Heat went up 2-0 on the Bobcats Wednesday night in Miami — they’re the only home team to do so in the first round — and LeBron James led the way with 32 points, eight assists, six rebounds, and four steals. Josh McRoberts had eight points, four assists, a lone rebound and a forearm shiver that almost popped LeBron’s Adam’s Apple through his larynx and out the back of his neck. It was just a foul, though. Read More »

Video: Gerald Henderson Denies Udonis Haslem

Udonis Haslem, Gerald Henderson

It is no secret the Miami Heat are one of the best fast-break teams in the league, but in the third quarter of Game 2 between the Heat and Bobcats, Gerald Henderson prevented Miami from an easy, transition bucket in impressive fashion. Mario Chalmers pump-faked the long jumper and dished a sweet bounce pass to Udonis Haslem, who was driving down the middle of the lane. Haslem thought he had a monster jam, but Henderson timed his jump perfectly and swatted away Haslem’s attempt. Read More »

DeMar DeRozan bounced back after a tough inaugural playoff experience in the opener to score a game-high 30 points in Toronto’s Game 2 win over Brooklyn to even the series at 1-1. The confetti-explosion on the court after the game might have been a bit premature, but any enthusiasm for DeRozan’s lefty slam is not. You’re gonna want to see this detonation with his off hand. Drake

One of the problems with wearing night black pants can be the lint that will sometimes make an appearance. Never more so is this an issue than under the bright lights sitting court-side at a Raptors playoff game in Air Canada Centre. Drake, the soft-crooning emcee, former star of Degrassi: The Next Generation and Raptors global ambassador got picked up by NBA TV cameras using a lint roller on his duds during Game 2 between the Nets and Raptors. Kevin Durant’s Impossible Falling Out of Bounds 3-Pointer Plus The Foul

Kevin Durant, Marc Gasol

We’re pretty sure cardiac arrest is the only possible by-product of the helter-skelter Game 2 between the Grizzlies and Thunder. The Thunder were down five with less than 20 seconds left and most fans believed this series would shortly be tied 1-1. But after a broken play, Russell Westbrook saved the ball from flying out of bounds to Kevin Durant who was covered closely by Marc Gasol in the near corner. KD was falling out of bounds as he caught the ball, but still found a way to get the shot up… Read More »

Serge Ibaka Blocks Ed Davis Then Wags His Finger

Serge Ibaka, Ed Davis

The ol’ Dikembe Mutombo finger wag after a big block would get T’d up in the contemporary NBA for taunting. But that didn’t stop Serge Ibaka from channeling his inner Mutombo after a huge recovery block on Ed Davis in the first half Monday night. Except Ibaka added one small caveat: he wagged his finger at the OKC crowd (much to their delight), thereby nullifying a subsequent technical. Read More »
