In February of 2005, the Philadelphia 76ers made what was thought to be a blockbuster deal when they acquired Chris Webber from the Sacramento Kings. It was their last effort to pair Allen Iverson an All-Star-caliber player. The Sixers failed to do so in prior attempts with guys like Glenn Robinson, Toni Kukoc and even Dikembe Mutombo (although they had to make that deal and every Sixers fan knows why). C-Webb was 30 years old and only played in 23 games in the season prior due to knee injuries. Read More »

As with all NBA fans, you have likely been following the final days of Tracy McGrady as NBA player (at least a little bit). With those days officially over and as he looks towards the next chapter of his playing career in China, T-Mac took some time yesterday to write a long letter to his fans and supporters. Read More »

Over the weekend, Allen Iverson (and Jason Williams) held it down in an exhibition all-star game against the 2012 Chinese Basketball Association champion Beijing Ducks. While most NBA execs don’t believe in the magic of AI’s game anymore (after this move, Iverson missed the shot, so we can’t blame them), this defender surely has to. He gets dropped by the one-time MVP, who spent the game rocking one of his most famous sneakers, the Answer IV. Read More »

Dwight Howard has been egged on so much in the last year we could see a mean streak like never before from him, and that’s saying something. We’re not dismissing the fact almost ALL of this has been self-inflicted damage on his part, but he’s seen hate like few others in NBA history. The latest chapter should inspire him to get healthy and get into a Laker game uniform faster than ever — and we think we know the target of his rage already. Read More »

This was originally posted on our basketball video site HouseofHighlights.com the other day, but since we got a great response to it, we thought we’d pop it here as well. Enjoy…
I’m not going to lie, I was laughing my ass off going through these videos. No way Dennis Rodman gets away with any of this stuff if he was playing today. Not a chance.
There’s more out there, but here are Rodman’s Greatest Hits. Read More »

Reebok has already re-released its Answer IV and Question this year to much fanfare, so why not break out the Question “Crossover,” too? The sneaker known for its pearlized blue toe is re-releasing Friday for $125, in a one-time drop this year. This was Allen Iverson‘s sneaker of choice in his 1996-97 rookie season. I’m not saying this will give you the power to break a grown man’s ankle with just a shimmy like Iverson could, but you could always try it out. Read More »

The summer of 2012 was a very special one for the sneaker world. With the Summer Olympics this year, sneakerheads knew there was a lot of heat to look forward to. The Summer of 2012 would bring the launch of the Air Yeezy 2, which alone is enough to make this summer one of the better summers for sneaker releases in a long time. Read More »
