If you weren’t at today’s Converse Band of Ballers, you missed out. Bringing together Converse’s love of music, basketball and the city of Atlanta, seven teams battled it out 3-on-3 to be the champ. The teams include returning champs Jim Jones and The Jones Family (surprise guest Cam’ron, God Shammgod & Adrian “A-Butta” Walton), Jermaine Dupri and the So So Def Family, The Black Lips, Of Montreal, Steel Train, the Bad News team (Jay Electronica, Donnis & Sean Price) and the Southern Hospitality team (OJ Da Juiceman, Pill & Shawty Lo). In a gym small enough to make all the fans feel like they were a part of the action, the returning champs turned in a repeat performance. I got up with the day’s MVP A-Butta, as well as Capo and Shammgod after the game.

To put it simply, last night was great. Getting an exclusive glimpse of Converse’s deep involvement with the city of Atlanta, as well as a private showing of the Fall Holiday 2010 product line, you couldn’t ask for much more. Held at the legendary Georgia Freight Room, the brand did an amazing job with the display.
