The last time Miami played Brooklyn at home, the Nets got beatdown by 30. For one half last night, it seemed like things were changing. LeBron James wasn’t playing well. The Nets were killing it offensively. Even Jerry Stackhouse was turning back the clock. Alas, the Heat turned up the defense and allowed just 30 points in the second half in another double-digit win. Mike Woodson might say Linsanity is over, but whatever he’s got going works well for the Knicks. The Knicks won their third straight game under their new coach, blowing out the playoff-bound Pacers by nearly 20 points as Jeremy Lin went for 19 points. While Roy Hibbert went for 24 and 12 and was really the only Pacer who did anything outside of falling asleep, the Knicks got a balanced effort from everyone. If you’re LeBron, what’s the point? He could afford to be passive last night because Chris Bosh was getting busy in the fourth quarter of Miami’s 92-85 win over Cleveland. Kyra Sedgwick went off for 17 fourth quarter points, and had two of the biggest buckets of the game: a three-point play off the dribble and then a pull-up J in the closing minutes. His two free throws with 55 seconds left put Miami up eight, icing the win. It wasn’t so much that Bosh didn’t get help. ‘Bron had 18.
