A Breakdown Of 7 Major Conference Tournaments

T.J. Warren

Many may argue conference tournament week is better than the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament. Every team in the country still has an opportunity of making the Dance at the start of the week, but as the days go by, more and more dreams are crushed. Teams have to win three, four and sometimes five straight games in as many days to claim an automatic bid in the field of 68. Read More »

The Last 8 Teams In And Out Of The NCAA Tournament

Marcus Smart

It’s very early to tell what bubble teams will prove worthy of making the NCAA Tournament but some teams have better opportunities than others. Of course, there is always the chance an underdog team shocks everyone and wins their conference tournament, resulting in a bid being taken away from one of the bubble teams. But below is a list of teams that I think will play their way into the NCAA Tournament, as well as four teams that will be accepting an invitation to the NIT. Read More »

Miami Stays Undefeated At Home; Spurs Are Still Best In The West

Dwyane Wade

The last time Miami played Brooklyn at home, the Nets got beatdown by 30. For one half last night, it seemed like things were changing. LeBron James wasn’t playing well. The Nets were killing it offensively. Even Jerry Stackhouse was turning back the clock. Alas, the Heat turned up the defense and allowed just 30 points in the second half in another double-digit win. Dwyane Wade missed just six shots in a 34-point performance, and Miami’s defense went to a place Brooklyn couldn’t counter in the second half. Read More »

Dime NBA Draft Profile: Perry Jones III

Perry Jones

They used to call it one of the best draft classes of the last 25 years. Now, it’s looking more and more like Anthony Davis… and then everybody else. Still, on June 28, the 2012 NBA Draft will bring hope, and hopefully new talent to some teams that desperately need it.

As we do every year, Dime will be holding you down with Mock Drafts, player interviews and diaries (you should check out Dion Waiters‘ draft diary), and we will also be bringing you draft profiles for every potential prospect deemed worthy. With this year’s crop of talent, that list is long. Our last profile was on University of Connecticut’s freshman center Andre Drummond. Today, we’re looking into the future of Baylor’s explosive prospect, Perry Jones III. Read More »

Video: The World’s Most Flamboyant Baylor Fan

Baylor University

As I tweeted yesterday afternoon, this dude was having WAY too much fun. Considering at this point, the game was already pretty much over, and Baylor was staring the end of their season in the face, I’ve cracked up every time I’ve seen this video. What’s he dancing for? Why is he so damn happy? Why does he remind me so much of Kevin Kline from In & Out? Read More »

The Knicks Are Back; Kentucky Rolls To The Sweet 16

Carmelo Anthony

Mike Woodson might say Linsanity is over, but whatever he’s got going works well for the Knicks. The Knicks won their third straight game under their new coach, blowing out the playoff-bound Pacers by nearly 20 points as Jeremy Lin went for 19 points. While Roy Hibbert went for 24 and 12 and was really the only Pacer who did anything outside of falling asleep, the Knicks got a balanced effort from everyone. No one really blew up and even Carmelo only scored 16 points. The Knicks just have their defense together and are finally willing to sacrifice for each other … Read More »
