With the second episode of The Association: Boston Celtics airing this Friday, Jan. 21 at 7:00pm on ESPN, check out this deleted scene of Big Baby going ham watching SportsCenter’s recap of the top dunks of the year. In bed.
Have you ever wondered what a day in the life of Glen Davis would be? Well, after he taught us how to Dougie on TwitVid, Big Baby has switched over to Ustream to give us a full view. Some highlights include eating cereal with a huge spoon, wearing a t-shirt turban and a backpack with no shirt on and at least one lip-sync dance session. Need I say more?

Heading into last year’s offseason, things were looking pretty good for Glen “Big Baby” Davis. He was coming off a stellar postseason where he averaged 15.8 points and 5.6 rebounds. The Celtics rewarded him with a two-year, $6.5 million contract. Davis also made one of the biggest and most memorable postseason plays when he hit a baseline jumper in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals to beat the Magic. But since then, things have gone south for Big Baby. Read More »

He doesn’t know exactly when or what position he would play, but one thing is certain: Big Baby wants to play in the NFL. Davis, who has been on the injured list ever since he hurt his thumb in a fight, was a star football player at University Laboratory High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was the school’s defensive end, defensive tackle and tailback. He recently told ESPN that he wants to pursue his dream of playing pro football. Read More »

Glen Davis is in free agent limbo, and he’s not happy about it one bit. He’s talked with the Celtics and a few other teams, but the restricted free agent, who is looking for mid-level exception money ($5.8 million), doesn’t really have much going on right now.

The Boston Herald collected some of Glen’s tweets about his contract situation: Read More »

While word surfaced this week that the Nets were among the teams interested in Glen Davis, one interesting trade proposal came to light: Davis, J.R. Giddens and Gabe Pruitt to the Pistons for Jason Maxiell and a first-round pick. Read More »

While this offseason continues to show the NBA’s rich getting richer, there are still a few loose ends to attend to. Perhaps I’m just getting greedy after acquiring Rasheed Wallace and Marquis Daniels, but if the Celtics definitely want to make good on Kevin Garnett‘s back-to-back promise, they have to ink a deal with Big Baby. Ricky Rubio is coming to the U.S. within the next couple of days to work out for the top lottery teams. Maybe the Celtics should get him up to Beantown for a private workout too. Though they don’t have a first-round pick to offer, there are rumblings that Boston is considering a Draft-changing trade into the No. 2 spot.
There aren’t any precise details on Boston’s rumored offer to Memphis right now, but they’d have to put up some established player to make this deal work. How far would they be willing to go? Read More »

There’s a difference between being insane and being crazy. Birdman is a posterboy for craziness. That became obvious during his interview with ESPN’s super-hot Colleen Dominguez. He refers to himself as “Chris” off the court and “Birdman” on it. But he doesn’t seem like he has some grand diabolical vision. He’s just a crazy dude.
Kevin Garnett, on the other hand, is insane. Read More »
