What are NBA players doing this summer if they’re not playing in the World Championships? Well, we know more than a handful have been out in L.A. putting in work at HAX. In this video, you can see Team Muscle Milk with Brandon Jennings, Bobby Brown, Shaun Livingston and Julian Wright take on Team ESPNZONE with Nick Young, JaVale McGee and D.J. Strawberry in the championship game of the Nike Real Run. While Jennings’ squad dominated throughout the whole game, Young rallied a fourth quarter comeback, finishing with a game-winning shot in the final seconds. Check it out.
I’m not saying anything profound by declaring that the NBA is a business. Dollars and cents clearly take precedence over loyalty and feelings. But while this harsh reality may often come as a surprise to devoted season ticket holders, the bottom line is the bottom line. The Hornets sent the 12-year vet and a future second round pics to the Wolves for forward Darius Songaila and guard Bobby Brown.
