Skyrim is perched over my shoulder like a dark cloud, so I’m extra grateful the guys at Activision hooked me up with an Elite subscription. Now Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 can’t get old. For those of you who have the Elite pass, you’ve probably spent the last few days scampering around the endless staircases of Piazza, and slipping from bush to bunker in Liberation. When the Oklahoma City Thunder visited the Celtics on Jan. 16, Kendrick Perkins‘ return to Boston was the talk of the town. But Perkins wasn’t the only player on the Thunder roster returning to the Hub that night. Oklahoma City rookie Reggie Jackson was also making his first appearance in Boston since suiting up for Boston College for the past three years.
While Boston College has been on the decline since Jackson’s departure (the Eagles are currently 7-11 overall and 2-2 in the ACC), the 6-3 guard’s career appears to be heading in the opposite direction. Had enough yet? For those of us who haven’t gotten enough Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 yet (I’ve been watching too much of The Wire on HBOGo and still haven’t even come close to the Prestige level yet… not like I would Prestige down anyways), starting this month, the guys from Activision are going to be pumping us full of new multiplayer maps. Starting January 24 when the brand new maps – Piazza and Liberation – are released, it’ll start a cycle of nine months where gamers will have the chance to get new maps and releases every month. I can honestly say with a straight face that I’m obsessed. Can’t put the controller down. Can’t turn off the system. Can’t not scream “Oh my Goooood” every time I get picked off from the side in multiplayer. I can honestly say that because there are millions of people out there who have the affliction A LOT worse than I do. There are few things on the sticks that irk me more than an online lobby where I’m at a four skill level, and some of these other dudes are at 62 or 65.
