Michael Jordan Hoax Didn’t Fly Well With Utah Flash Fans

Michael Jordan

Ever since Michael Jordan called out Bryon Russell in his Hall of Fame speech over the summer, B-Russ has been challenging the greatest basketball player of all-time to a game of one-on-one. Utah Flash (of the D-League) owner Brandt Anderson has gone through great lengths to promote the possible game and even offered to put up $100,000 to the winner’s preferred charity. This over-hyped, one-on-one talk got even more ridiculous last night when 7,000 anxious Flash fans were duped into thinking MJ was showing up during the Flash/Dakota Wizards game to play Russell. D-League Select Beats The Blazers At The Buzzer

While a lot of people were complaining about last season’s Top 10 plays yesterday, you can’t argue with this one as Marcus Hubbard of the D-League Select squad drops a buzzer-beating trey to beat the Blazers.

The Other Route To The NBA

While the NBA Draft is clearly the prefered route, there are other ways to make it to the League. Last week, the NBA’s D-League held their Elite Mini Camp in order to give some current D-League Players another chance to try and impress coaches and scouts from the NBA.

Forget contraction: The NBA needs expansion

Will Bynum (photo. NBA)

How ironic and ultimately frustrating was it that, on the same weekend when the Iverson-to-Detroit project officially failed, Will Bynum gave the Pistons exactly what A.I. could have given them all along?

After Rip Hamilton got ejected in the third quarter of yesterday’s game against the Bobcats, the Pistons offense was set to tank before Bynum stepped in. Read More »
