NBA hopefuls Chris Johnson (LSU), Marqus Blakely (Vermont, 2010 NCAA champ), Derrick Byars (Vanderbilt) and defending champ Dar Tucker (DePaul) went at it, with the finals coming down to Tucker and Johnson. Brian Grant, Jerome Williams and Paul George were among the judges.

It seems this year’s All-Star Weekend is just full of dunk contests. From the dunk-in during the Rookie/Sophomore game, to the search for the nation’s best amateur dunker in the inaugural Sprite Slam Dunk Showdown, to the actual dunk contest during All-Star Saturday Night, there will be more 10s out than a Sports Illustrated swimsuit shoot. I’ve been a fan of Dar Tucker for a minute. As a freshman last year, he posted averages of 13.6 points and 4.8 rebounds in his inaugural campaign despite playing only 23.6 minutes a night.
