Rumors have been running rampant the past 48 hours that the Cleveland Cavaliers were close to trading the number one pick in tonight’s draft to the Orlando Magic for Arron Afflalo and the team’s pair of lottery picks. Forget all of that, though, as Afflalo is already on the move. According to reports, the Magic have traded him to the Denver Nuggets for Evan Fournier and the 56th pick in the draft. Read More »

10 Average NBA Players That Are Actually Unstoppable In NBA 2K14

NBA 2K14

In recent years, the NBA 2K series has become the mecca of sports competition gaming–damaging friendships one Kevin Durant game-winner at a time. For me, it’s the ultimate source of competition in my college apartment. Much like there is a “zone” in real life basketball that players get into, there’s a certain “zone” one can enter during a game of 2K, when all of those pull-up transition threes are dropping and every bounce seems to go your way. Basketball demands we break down its players not just by stats, but by the time and place they occur. Evan Fournier Escapes Guard Dogs After Almost Getting Locked Out On Coach Brian Shaw’s Patio

Brian Shaw, Jordan Hamilton, Darrell Arthur, Evan Fournier, Timofey Mozgov

The daily grind of the NBA can be pretty tough on the younger players. They’re unused to the slapdash lifestyle of traveling, playing, practicing and then traveling again. Earlier this week, Nuggets second year guard Evan Fournier felt under the weather before embarking on a team-building BBQ at coach Brian Shaw‘s house in Oakland during their road trip. After grubbing a lot of food to replenish his weakened body, Fournier fell asleep on Shaw’s back patio. If it hadn’t been for Shaw’s intuitive decision to make a second check of the house before locking up, Fournier might have been locked out on his patio with no cell service and a salivating guard dog ready to attack. The 20 Best Small-Ball Lineups In The NBA

Carmelo Anthony

Just a short year ago, we were blessed to watch the USA Men’s basketball team storm into London and pick apart each opponent with a variety of different tactics that emphasized speed and transition defense. Those lineups, at times, were sorely lacking in the height department. We would occasionally find the 6-8 Carmelo Anthony at the center position where he would rebound and “attempt” to guard opposing centers. Read More »

Nuggets JaVale McGee & Evan Fournier Mimic Mario Kart Sounds

JaVale McGee

The Denver Nuggets went through a drastic overhaul this summer with coach George Karl fired and GM Masai Ujiri bouncing north to the Raptors. Even though new coach Brian Shaw is thrusting center JaVale McGee into a more prominent role, McGee’s quirkiness is still on full display. Read More »

Dwight Howard & The Lakers Are 1 Win Away From The Playoffs; The Knicks Dominate A Potential Playoff Preview

Dwight Howard

Can we speak on how Steve Blake dominated Tony Parker last night? Yes? That surprising turn of events was just a small part of a truly wacky game in Los Angeles. The Lakers beat the Spurs, 91-88, and are now just one win away (or one Jazz loss away) from making the playoffs. Dwight Howard looked like… well, someone who’d just been given his own team to control and lead. Read More »

Houston Rockets’ James Anderson Dunks on Evan Fournier’s Face

james anderson dunks

Isn’t this usually what the Denver Nuggets do to other teams? This play happened on Saturday night, but in case you missed it, you need to watch it now. A Houston Rockets fast break that ends with James Anderson dunking right through Evan Fournier‘s face for the and-one. Poor Evan was set up to take a charge – that’s what you get for trying to be a gamer. Read More »
