Frank Kaminsky Thinks His Star Wars Bobblehead Makes Him Look Like An Old Redhead

Bobbleheads can be funny things, sometimes they can look like a direct replica of the player and in other cases it causes one to wonder where the artist screwed up. For Frank Kaminsky, the latest edition of his bobblehead looks nothing like him and he took to Twitter to voice his displeasure.

It all started when Darren Rovell tweeted out a photo of a Kaminsky stormtrooper bobblehead for Star Wars night that the Charlotte Hornets are hosting on December 9th. Less than two hours later, the former Wisconsin player tweeted out that he looked like a “40-year old ginger” rather than himself in Stormtrooper uniform.

Kaminsky struggled out of the blocks for the Hornets when they drafted him ninth overall in the 2014, averaging a mere 7.5 points per game while only shooting 34 percent from beyond the arc. Kaminsky was initially drafted in mind to be a stretch 4, hence why his struggles to shoot from beyond the arc were so alarming.

But for all his struggles in his first season, Kaminsky managed to turn it around in the second half of last season, averaging nearly 15 points per game and raising his three point percentage to a respectable 38 percent from the field. This also came after an offseason surgery to repair a pocket of air in his chest wall.

So things may be looking up for Kaminsky, a first real offseason for the young man from Illinois, a chance to fit in more with the direction of a team that’s added Dwight Howard and drafted Malik Monk. The Hornets are looking to head back to the playoffs after health all but derailed their season last year. But if the Force is with young Frank, then the Hornets have a chance to make some noise this upcoming season.
