This season was full of incredible dunks and by the second half of the year, it felt like everyone was just trying to one up each other. There was Harrison Barnes, who was then topped by DeAndre Jordan, who was then almost topped by LeBron James. Unbelievable. The Golden State Warriors did some clowning on the San Antonio Spurs last night. First there was the ridiculous buffet of moves that Stephen Curry handed out, now check out this Harrison Barnes dunk.
HB blows by his man and then elevates in the lane to put one on Aron Baynes. The Warriors’ announcers’ brains almost melt, but our favorite part has to be the fans they show sitting courtside. One guy is so excited he’s involuntarily rocking back and forth: Read More »

Go into any basketball locker room in the world — CYO leagues, middle school, high school, or even in the NBA — and you’ll find sharpshooters, bench warmers, you’ll see Jordans, adidas and Reebok, you’ll see tall oafs and slippery guards, coaches that rarely say a word and coaches that never shut up. Every team will have it’s own unique flavor, it’s own unique environment. Read More »

We took a break from hitting replay on the new Game of Thrones trailer to catch the Toronto/Milwaukee game, and outside of the terrible jersey choices (when did this trend begin of both teams wearing away uni colors? It needs to end now), the matchup was surprisingly awesome. The Bucks won 122-114 after dominating the overtime period, mainly because Ersan Ilyasova (29 points, 11 rebounds) morphed into a Hall of Famer at times in the second half and OT, and because Brandon Jennings morphed into Magic Johnson. Only two dozen or so games remain in the NBA regular season and we still don’t fully understand the identity of either the Rockets or the Nets. Brooklyn’s right in the middle of the East’s divide between the upper and lower half of its playoff spots. Read More »
