TAG: James Harden
By Patrick Cassidy

The fallout from Metta World Peace‘s berseker elbow to James Harden‘s head yesterday afternoon will be far-reaching. Metta had been enjoying the best month of basketball that he’s put together in a very long time before this nonsense went down. On this morning’s SportsCenter, Ric Bucher theorized that the suspension Metta will face will be a minimum of 10 games. When you see the video, that level of punishment seems fair: Read More »

In a recent interview with the New York Post, Carmelo Anthony’s wife, La La, talked about the couple’s luxurious Hell’s Kitchen apartment. Like any typical multi-millionaire’s pad, there are top of the line features like high ceilings and custom closets designed by The Container Store, but the one design element that stands out is a huge painting of Carmelo that hangs above their fireplace. Beast of the Night: James Harden ruined the Suns last night, dropping a line of 40 points, seven rebounds, three assists, four steals and five treys. He shot 71 percent (12-17) from the floor and 100 percent (11-11) from the free-throw line, and turned the ball over three times. For the season, Harden has been a top 30 asset, which is in line with rosier expectations heading into the season. Coming off the bench or not, Harden is a fantasy basketball stud. Read More »

The two winningest programs in NCAA history met in the N.O. Bayou last night, and when it was all over, one thing was clear: Kansas would’ve had to be perfect to stop Kentucky. The game didn’t really heat up until the second half, but we knew pretty early it was going to be a great game. By the game’s first TV timeout, there were already more highlights than all of last year’s title game. And when Kansas finally did make their push, in part behind Tyshawn Taylor (19 points), it was the sniping from Doron Lamb (22 points) and Marquis Teague (14 points) that put the kids to bed … Read More »

It doesn’t matter if it took two extra overtimes, seeing a game end up with 289 points is crazy. Kevin Love channeled his recent anger to go berserk for a career-high 51 points, and yet the Thunder dominated the final overtime. Russell Westbrook scored the first points there and ultimately led OKC to a nine-point win with 45 points. Kevin Durant chipped in with 40 points and 17 rebounds, but as well as the Thunder’s big-name players balled, the rest of the team was non-existant. James Harden did his thing as well, but where was everybody else? They were busy making J.J. Barea (25 points, 14 assists) look like something other than a pretty good backup … Read More »

So you want Dwyane Wade taking the last shot huh? He finally did in Miami’s two-point overtime win against the Pacers last night, and made a game-winner. But even after that, Erik Spoelstra was asked who he had planned to take the final shot. His answer: “Whoever’s open.” That’s because LeBron scored the team’s final eight points, including a crazy three, to actually send it into overtime where Wade and Chris Bosh dominated. James and Wade combined for 55 points, and you have to feel bad for the Pacers, who led for all but 12 seconds out of the game’s last 18 minutes … Read More »

Beast of the Night: James Harden posted 30 points, four rebounds, one assist, two steals, two blocks and four three-pointers last night. He shot 67 percent (8-12) from the field, 91 percent (10-11) from the free-throw line and had one turnover. Harden has been a top 25 fantasy stud so far this season, which is extra impressive given that he’s the non-starter in that bunch. Read More »

Some teams get rusty with a seven-day delay like Miami was coming off of. The Heat got nastier while still being down an All-Star with Chris Bosh gone. Portland got run out of its own gym, 107-93, as the team still trying to find itself ran into a buzzsaw of a team that’s discovering how vicious it can be. Dwyane Wade (33 points, 10 assists) had a big follow block that led to Mike Miller’s three on the other end to go up five in the second. If you liked that, the James-Wade combo platter included a two-on-one fast-break alley-oop to LeBron that had Portlanders covering their mouths. Read More »

All-Star Weekend is in sight with the last chartered flights en route now. That means a three-day break for some, and a little ball and some partying for others. It’s easy to see why you’d want to take a break and take a little off in the last games before heading to Orlando. Not so for tonight’s marquee games, Lakers-Thunder, Heat-Knicks. It turns out how to stop Jeremy Lin (8 points, a -19 rating) is to have a Miami team that continues to take opponents apart with apparent glee … Read More »

It would appear that there’s really nothing that Kevin Durant can’t do. Over the last day or so, Durant’s full-fledged new rap song, “Worried Bout Tomorrow” started popping up in various places online.
The track features the rapper Privaledge, an artist we’ve seen associated with the Thunder in the past.
Check out the song after the jump and let us know what you think of it: Read More »
