The Eastern Conference’s Most Disappointing Players This Season

Jason Terry

The marathon NBA season came to its end last week and for some, it’s a blessing in disguise. Everyone had players that didn’t live up to expectations this season. We are going to look at some of these poor souls with one minor disclaimer: The excessively injured will not be included. Read More »

Video: Washington’s Top 10 Plays From Last Season

John Wall

Okay, so Nick Young and JaVale McGee aren’t in Washington anymore and they accounted for like half of this list. But last year, the Wizards were still one of the most exciting terrible teams we’ve seen in a while. They should produce more wins this season now that they added Nene for a full year, as well as players like Emeka Okafor, Trevor Ariza and Bradley Beal. But hopefully, they don’t forget about the highlights. Read More »

Russell Westbrook

Beast of the Night: Russell Westbrook finished the 2011-12 NBA season with a bang, producing a pretty line of 30 points, six rebounds, nine assists, three steals, four blocks and a three-pointer. He shot 50 percent (10-20) from the field and 90 percent (9-10) from the free-throw line, and had two turnovers. Westbrook is finishing the season with top 20 value, which falls short of expectations. The most noticeable stat is his 5.5 assists per game this season, well below the 8.2 assists he dished out per game last season. Read More »

Video: John Wall’s Amazing Dish To ‘The Dunking Ninja’

Jan Vesely

Perhaps the Wizards finally turned it up. Winners of five in a row, they actually look like a legit NBA team now. But more likely, they’re just feasting on the blues so many teams seem to discover in April. They won in Cleveland last night, and John Wall went stat stuffing on us. He also had this ridiculous pass to Jan Vesely. Read More »

Paul George

Beast of the Night: Paul George posted 27 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, three steals and two three-pointers in a win over the Pistons. He shot 40 percent (6-15) from the floor and 87 percent (13-15) from the free-throw line, and had one turnover. Though George has been a bit unsteady this month, for the season he’s been a top 40 fantasy basketball asset. He should be viewed as that, if not a bit more, heading into next season’s drafts. Spurs Are The West’s Best; Paul George Shows Off The Future

Tim Duncan (photo. Jonathan Mannion)

Last night was one of those evenings where we really wished we didn’t cover the NBA for a living. Who set up this schedule? When you combine a bunch of really bad teams with some good teams that don’t have anything to play for, ugly basketball ensues and brain cells die. Not all was lost though. The Spurs might have a few old guys, but they can still get it done, and last night San Antonio wrapped up the West’s No. 1 seed with a 124-89 destruction of the Blazers. Tim Duncan had 18 and the versatile Spurs again made sure everyone fed on Portland’s remains … Read More »

James Harden

Beast of the Night: James Harden ruined the Suns last night, dropping a line of 40 points, seven rebounds, three assists, four steals and five treys. He shot 71 percent (12-17) from the floor and 100 percent (11-11) from the free-throw line, and turned the ball over three times. For the season, Harden has been a top 30 asset, which is in line with rosier expectations heading into the season. Coming off the bench or not, Harden is a fantasy basketball stud. Read More »

Russell Westbrook Shows Out Again; Spurs Lay A Late Easter Egg

Russell Westbrook

Oklahoma City should show some love to Russell Westbrook for getting them back into first place in the West. The Thunder rolled on Milwaukee by 20 behind their superstar point guard. Westbrook destroyed the new look Buck backcourt, going for 26 easy points and seven rebounds in only 26 minutes. Kevin Durant added 19 and Thabo Sefolosha had a reverse dunk that even Kobe would’ve enjoyed … Who caught the Mike Dunleavy and Serge Ibaka tussle? Ibaka reached out to grab him by the shoulder, and Jr. busted out the most epic karate chop we’ve ever seen in an NBA game … The Thunder are back in first because Devin Harris got revenge, and Paul Millsap got freaky in the fourth. Wesley Matthews

Beast of the Night: Wesley Matthews produced a fine line to the tune of 33 points, one rebound, two steals and five three-pointers. He shot 83 percent (10-12) from the floor and 80 percent (8-10) from the free-throw line, and had two turnovers. Since being reinserted into the starting lineup on March 16, Matthews has averaged top 10 numbers. Read More »

Oklahoma City Dominates An East-West Battle; Rajon Rondo Drops The Heat

Kevin Durant & Russell Westbrook

You can’t disrespect a Derrick Rose-less Chicago team that’s still leading the East despite him being gone for 20 games now this season with injury. The Heat couldn’t stop the Bulls without their MVP a couple weeks back, remember? This is to say that when West-leading Oklahoma City met East beast Chicago on Sunday in OKC, you knew the Thunder were going to give the Bulls a full run no matter what. That run turned out to be a 14-point win that came with serious style points. Read More »
