Daily Fantasy Basketball Diagnosis: 1.31

Chris Paul

Beast of the Night: Chris Paul posted 26 points, 14 assists, two steals and two three-pointers last night. He shot 75 percent (12-16) from the field and had two turnovers. His hamstring injury was a bummer earlier this month, but CP3 is back to business as usual. His averages are second best to LeBron James this season. Read More »

The Bucks Hunt Down The Lakers; Andre Iguodala Has The Best Dunk Of The Season

Brandon Jennings

Nothing hurts more than losing your spot at the gym because you lost to a bunch of random dudes. That’s what happened to the Lakers last night in Milwaukee. With Stephen Jackson corporate thuggin’ it off-court (suspended for verbal abuse of an official), Andrew Bogut out with his yearly injury and Brandon Jennings playing more passively than at any point over the past month, the Lakers took body blows from Drew Gooden, Mike Dunleavy and Ersan Ilyasova before finally falling 100-89. Steve Nash Unleashes “The Corn Chopper”

Steve Nash

Steve Nash apparently wants in on the ESPN Winter X Games Real Snow competition (presented by vitaminwater) – one of the premiere snowboarding competitions in the world. He wants it so badly, he’s willing to take matters into his own hands. Nash teamed up with vitaminwater to push his case on Twitter. He amassed more than 1,000 tweets with #letnashcompete in the body of the tweet from fans to make his case to enter the competition.

He then put together this video, his “entry” into Real Snow. In it, we get a sneak preview of the “most epic snowboard trick ever” – Nash’s “Corn Chopper.” Read More »

Ranking The NBA’s 6 Divisions From Worst To Best

James Harden

One of the most overlooked aspects of this season so far is how balanced the league has become. It used to be the West had three or four teams who missed the playoffs that could compete in the East. The East went about four or five deep before everyone fell off to 40, 35, 25 wins. Now, miraculously, both conferences have exactly eight teams who are either at .500 or above it. Read More »

Daily Fantasy Diagnosis: 1.3

Jarrett Jack

Beast of the Night: Jarrett Jack posted 27 points, five rebounds, 11 assists, a steal, two blocks and a three-pointer last night against the Jazz. He shot 65 percent (11-17) from the field, 100 percent (4-4) from the free-throw line and had two turnovers. This was a nice bounce-back game after putting up mediocre lines in his previous two games. Jack remains a strong fantasy starter in most leagues, as he’ll rack up plenty of minutes and numbers for the Hornets this season. Read More »

Top 20 Sleepers In 2011-12 Fantasy Basketball

Gerald Henderson

Let’s be honest: Drafting the sleepers you want in the round you want is one of the most satisfying feelings in fantasy basketball. That said, sleepers are a dangerous breed. Like fair trades in the NBA these days, sleepers are not sure things and can sometimes burn you if you pounce too early on them. To help sort out the sleepers you should be eyeing in your fantasy basketball drafts this year, here’s a list of players who are napping, dozing and comatose (assuming nine categories). Read More »

NBA Fantasy Team Analysis: The Phoenix Suns

Steve Nash

The Phoenix Suns remain an offensive machine in the NBA, which makes the squad likable for fantasy purposes. However, with the face of the franchise is slipping into the sunset as he approaches the deep end of his 30s, it’s time for the emergence of new stars in Arizona. A certain hammer of Polish origin will lead the way for this new movement in Phoenix. Read More »

Nate Robinson Speaks On The NFL

Nate Robinson

We wrote a few nights back that Nate Robinson was either seriously thinking of trying the NFL or he was just having some fun at the expense of Pete Carroll. The Seahawks coach didn’t look at it as a joke, and now it’s apparent neither did Nate. He told HOOPSWORLD: “I mean, why not? It has always been one of my dreams to play in the NFL and right now, the opportunity is presenting itself so I think it’s pretty much a sign from God. I’m looking forward to trying out, having fun and showing the world that, as long as you put your mind to it, you can play any sport you want.” Read More »

Dime’s Top 10 Twitter Ballers

Shaquille O'Neal

Five years ago to this day, a microblogging entity known as Twitter was launched not as a rival to MySpace or Facebook, but with an Internet niche all its own. Only in the past year or so has it exploded, and just as Shaquille O’Neal was the biggest man in basketball, Shaq created a Twitter boom that caught on with NBA players and beyond.

Where does Twitter go from here? We can only guess, but in the fledgling years of the social media website, here’s my attempt at ranking the Top 10 Twitter accounts for the hardcore basketball fan. Read More »

DimeTV: Jared Dudley Talks Suns, Boston College & NBA Draft

Yesterday at Steve Nash‘s Showdown in Chinatown, NBA players and global soccer stars took the field to raise money for charity. Jared Dudley, one of the white team’s starters, had an impressive showing. Although he may not have a background in soccer, that didn’t stop him from trying. He ended up scoring two goals and managed one botched celebration. Armed solely with my flip cam and amateur film skills, I had the chance to speak with Dudley on the field before the match began.
