NBA Fantasy Team Analysis: The New Orleans Hornets

Chris Paul

This team is all about a stud point guard and a bunch of spare parts. If its big free agent doesn’t re-sign with the team, the New Orleans Hornets could be one of the more unappealing NBA teams for fantasy owners. With nearly half of its roster on the market, the Hornets will be a team to monitor whenever the league resumes. Read More »

Lakers survive test from familiar nemesis; Celtics tested in Cali

Kobe Bryant

Every legit NBA title contender this season seems to have that one Lottery-bound team that poses problems for them. For the Celtics, it has been Detroit. For the Spurs, it’s been Minnesota. For the Heat, it’s been Indiana. The Lakers? They’ve been having a tough time with the Rockets for the last couple of years now, Yao or no Yao. Last night’s matchup was another nail-biter … It’s easy to see why the Rockets are a bad matchup for the defending champs. Read More »

We’ve all been waiting for some NBA action to happen before training camps start, and thanks to the Hornets and Sixers, there’s some movement going on before things get underway. According to Yahoo! The 76ers need to draft Derrick Favors

Derrick Favors

As much as John Wall appears to be a lock for the Washington Wizards with the No. 1 pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, Evan Turner has been penciled into the Philadelphia 76ers lineup by almost everybody since the night Philly landed the No. 2 pick in the Lottery.

Not so fast. Soon after the Sixers hired Doug Collins as head coach, talk around the organization was that Collins is a big fan of Derrick Favors, and would seriously consider taking the Georgia Tech freshman over Turner. Read More »

Daily Fantasy Diagnosis: 11.25

Anthony Morrow

Beast of the Night: Anthony Morrow poured in 27 points last night, hitting 6 treys and racking up 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals in a full 48 minutes of work for a very short-handed Warriors squad. He shot 56 percent (9-16) from the floor and was perfect (3-3) from the free throw line. This is Morrow’s second consecutive solid line and he should remain a valuable, though somewhat inconsistent, fantasy player for the rest of the season. He’ll see extra minutes and touches during the next week or so as the Warriors slowly recoup. Read More »

Do the Right Thing: The one Allen Iverson trade that makes sense

Allen Iverson

Allow me to shed a silver lining of optimism on the Allen Iverson doomsday parade. If it’s true that the Iverson/Memphis relationship is deteriorating fast with no reunion in sight, there is one sensible solution that can take place as soon as A.I. is eligible for a trade in mid-December.

There is one trade that can work, one fan base that would accept Iverson with (somewhat) open arms, one team that could slide him right into the starting lineup AND win some games in the process, one place where Iverson can work to rebuild his reputation and maybe even have a future beyond this season.
