If the Boston Celtics had succeeded in pulling off that miracle fourth quarter run, this move by Iman Shumpert would have been remembered until the end of time as the pinnacle of premature celebration. Instead, it’s just part of the Knicks ending the Celtics’ season in Boston tonight.
Watch as Shumpert hits a three and then runs down the court mocking Jason Terry‘s “Jet” celebration: Read More »

It’s always fun when secondary players in a big series are the ones doing the most talking, isn’t it? Check out the back and forth between Kenyon Martin and Jason Terry that started in the post-game wake of Game 4. When asked about J.R. Smith‘s return, Terry responded with, “I don’t care if Patrick Ewing comes back for them. We’re going to treat it like a Game 7.”

Jason Terry admitted it after Boston’s season-saving seven-point overtime win over New York yesterday afternoon. The JET hasn’t had the greatest of seasons, falling off from a super clutch old timer to… just some guy who takes up space, gets tattoos he can’t back up anymore and does annoying fighter plane dances. At the half of New York’s 87-71 Game 2 win over Boston, Charles Barkley called for Carmelo Anthony to give him more, saying New York doesn’t have enough scorers to have off nights from Anthony and still expect to win. ‘Melo had made just three buckets in the first two quarters, and New York was trailing by six. The marathon NBA season came to its end last week and for some, it’s a blessing in disguise. Everyone had players that didn’t live up to expectations this season. We are going to look at some of these poor souls with one minor disclaimer: The excessively injured will not be included. Read More »

Before 2007, the last time the Warriors had made the playoffs, Chris Webber was a rookie, Tim Hardaway was mesmerizing defenders with his potent between-the-legs/crossover combo, and Chris Mullin was sniping jumpers from long range, sporting his trademark military haircut. After coaching this group of future Hall of Famers, Don Nelson was fired the following season after a slow start. Read More »

LeBron James‘ stomping of every Clevelander’s revenge dream last night was downright villainous, like something so cartoonishly cruel, it could have been right out of a WWE story line.
It makes this video perfect for this morning. Someone took the savage dunk that ‘Bron put on Jason Terry the other night and overlaid with perfect classic commentary from famed WWE announcer Jim Ross: Read More »

Last night’s NBA action was so full of highlights that we had to just run a top 10. Paul George had a ridiculous facial. Bismack Biyombo did the same. And JaVale McGee had another one of those plays that defies the basic physics of basketball. Of course, in the end, they all bowed down to LeBron James going “DeAndre Jordan” in Boston. Only one question though for whoever made this list: where is Avery Bradley‘s insane chase-down block?) Read More »

Every night in the NBA is its own minimovie, played out in any number of acts. Wednesday there were 14, and we could have called it, The Closers, for the way Kobe and Kyrie won after ridiculous comebacks in the fourth quarter. Friday would be The Takeover. Read More »
