Steven Adams On Living In OKC: “It’s Really Weird”

Steven Adams

Steven Adams just finished his rookie season with the Oklahoma City Thunder. In his first season, Adams established himself as a physical presence on the court, demonstrating the ability to get under the skin of everyone he faces on the court. He’s had people who’ve wanted to fight him, and people who actually did punch him. Despite being a pest on the basketball floor, he is also a very engaging personality off the court, which he showed in his exit interview on Monday. Read More »

Kendrick Perkins, Kevin Durant

Game 2 between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Oklahoma City Thunder turned out to be a thrilling spectacle of basketball. The game went back and forth and proved that playoff basketball is nothing but pure entertainment. With the score at 99-97 in favor of Memphis, OKC had one final chance to either win the game or force overtime. Russell Westbrook chucked up a prayer from downtown, but came up short. Luckily for OKC, Kendrick Perkins was in the right place at the right time, as he grabbed the offensive rebound and banked in a layup to beat the buzzer. Read More »

Nene Says NBA Referees Allow Kevin Durant To Carry The Ball

Nene, Kevin Durant, Trevor Booker

The Wizards finally ended the Kevin Durant onslaught on Saturday night, terminating the Thunder’s 10-game winning streak and forcing KD into an uncharacteristic (and unheard of in 2014) 8-for-21 night shooting the ball. After the game, Wizards center Nene spoke glowingly of Durant before taking a dig at him. He also totally throws Kendrick Perkins under the bus, but that’s par for the course these days. Read More »

Pierre the Pelican (Derick E. Hingle/USA TODAY Sports)

Monster dunks. Nothing-but-net threes. Alley-oops. All are wonderful moments we’ve witnessed so far this season. There have been plenty of good moments: KD‘s recent scoring outburst, ‘Melo‘s record-breaking game, and Greg Oden‘s return… none of which you’ll see on this list. This is dedicated to the bad and the ugly, the plays that left you thinking WTF was that, what were they thinking? This season has been one of the most competitive and fun seasons to watch in recent memory, but it’s only right we have some fun at the halfway point. Read More »

5 NBA Playoff Series We Know You Want To See

Paul George, LeBron James

It’s never too early to begin thinking about the playoffs.

Sure, the regular season has been great so far, if you’re ignoring that one of the conferences currently has three teams with a winning record, but that doesn’t mean we can’t already begin thinking about the potential the playoffs have in store for us. A lot can happen in those seven games. It can make or break a franchise, sending one into the vaults of the elite and the other into a downward spiral that may result in the breakup of the team. It can also make or break a player, essentially putting their entire legacy on the line if that player’s influence on the team is that great. Read More »
