LeBron Celebrates Start Of New Season With Special Gold-Themed Nike LeBron X

Nike LeBron X "Gold-Themed"

With the NBA set to tip off in just a few hours, LeBron James will take the court tonight rocking a special gold-themed colorway of the new Nike LeBron X to honor last season’s championship run. The gold upper represents the ring, and the red and white accents are for the home uniform they wore to beat the Thunder and win that elusive title last June. Read More »

Nike LeBron X “Dunkman”

Nike LeBron X "Dunkman"

Had enough of the Nike LeBron X? Not likely. The shoe is the perfect balance of performance and style, and it’s template never seems to fail, even as our friends at Nike continue to pump out different colorways. Earlier this month, we showed you the first look at the “Dunkman” version of the LeBron X that’ll surely have people going crazy once it does release (no word yet on when that’ll be). Thankfully, more photos are being leaked. Read More »

Minnesota Gets An Early Christmas Gift; Joakim Noah Learns Post Moves From Kareem

Ricky Rubio

The signs have been promising, but you never want to get your hopes up after ligament tears in a knee. Still, we’d seen Ricky Rubio‘s road to recovery and then him shooting a little (Minnesota die-hards will cling to anything that projects hope with Rubio, and that late-night show’s skit qualifies). To complete the hope triangle, let’s add in a third reason to believe Read More »

The Bobcats Want To Trade Their Biggest Underachiever; Nets Look For A Secret Weapon

Tyrus Thomas (photo. John Sturdy)

When we talk about the NBA’s biggest enigmas, why doesn’t anyone ever mention Tyrus Thomas? He’s a 6-9 freak of an athlete who showed in college he’s good enough – when he cares – to make a big difference. So far in the NBA, he’s displayed a decent skill set when he’s healthy. He’s not a liability on the line, doesn’t need the ball to be effective and can play in a number of different systems. He even started for a playoff team in Chicago. Of course, it’s hard to stay relevant when your best friend on the team is the trainer, but we think Thomas deserves a little more shine as one of the NBA’s biggest underachievers. Read More »

Nike LeBron X “Red/White”

Nike LeBron X

The talk of how much is too much for sneakers won’t be going away thanks to the Nike LeBron X. But with another colorway being spotted – this time a red and white edition with speckles beneath a candy-colored red upper – it does allow for the conversation to be about the quality of the dope editions being seen instead of your opinion on pricing. Nike LeBron X “Jade”

Nike LeBron X "Jade"

Not all of the hype surrounding the Nike LeBron X is good. The reported $315 price tag for the Nike+ version started a war on sneakerheads. What the result will be I’m not sure. I know people will still pay the money to get them, and I can’t fault them either way. I will say it looks like it’ll be a dope sneaker, and the colorways so far have all been nice. Here’s the latest, a picture from the Nike+ Festival of Sports where LeBron is rocking the “Jade” version. Read More »

Another New Colorway Of The Nike LeBron X: Black/Red

Nike LeBron X Black/Red

After LeBron James debuted his newest signature sneaker in yesterday’s Gold Medal match against Spain, it didn’t take long for new colorways to start leaking. The Nike LeBron X isn’t expected to hit retailers until deep into the NBA season (right now, it sounds like it’ll be somewhere between Jan. 13 and Feb. 15, so yeah, long time off). But that won’t stop us from getting hyped whenever a new colorway shows up. Read More »
