adidas NBA All-Star Collection Lay Down East

The NBA and adidas got it right this year with All-Star game uniforms that didn’t try and overdo it with bold colors and outrageous designs. Contrasting with prior years, the uniforms revealed on Monday offer a simplistic look that harkens back to the game’s infancy, and the barnstorming teams early in the 20th century who used to wow crowds taking in the new sport. Close your eyes, Knicks fans. This is not a list that you’re going to be particularly fond of. As a Knicks enthusiast, I repeatedly asked myself why I was writing this. It’s been 40 years since New York has won an NBA title and after a slow start this season, fans are close to their breaking point — myself included. Metta rode the F Train to the game though, and proved once again he’s a populist player of the people. Read More »
