Before the game, Jason Kidd‘s jersey was raised to the rafters during a touching tribute. With Wade out, and the Heat looking lethargic, the Nets — and bench big man Andray Blatche — dominated for long stretches against the champs. Read More »

We had a chance to speak with some of the newest players in the NBA last week during the 2013 NBA Rookie Photo Shoot as part of the four-day Rookie Transition Program that wrapped last Friday. While we enjoyed some of the high-jinks during the all-day affair, we also had to talk over a thrumming bass line as hip hop blared in the background for most of the day.

The loud setting plus the incredible lyrical moment from Kendrick Lamar during the debut of the Big Sean track, “Control” last night — featuring a K. Dot verse where he goes after most of his peers in the rap game — synthesized around our rookie mix. Read More »

Headlined at the top by Cleveland’s super surprising selection of combo forward Anthony Bennett at No. 1, the 2013 NBA Draft was full of surprises. That made this piece harder to write than usual. Attention All NBA Centers: Here Are The 10 Best Dunkers In This Year’s Draft Class

Andre Roberson

As teams prepare for the NBA Draft, coaches and GMs across the league are looking for a hidden gem that can potentially blossom into the next star of this generation. The word “potential” is commonly thrown around to describe the players that possess a high ceiling. While GMs and coaches don’t draft based on a prospect’s dunking ability, athleticism does play a crucial role in war rooms across the league. Read More »

Dime Mock Draft 2.0: A Major Trade Involving DeMarcus Cousins Could Shake Up The Top 5 Picks

Anthony Bennett

Does this draft class suck? Well, more than a few “experts” maintain it’s not one of the best you’ll ever see. That being said, we don’t really know what’ll happen until these young fellas get drafted and hit the floor. There are plenty of teams that could use Ben McLemore or Anthony Bennett or Alex Len. Now, after the lottery, we have a better grip on which teams will get them. Read More »
