Michael J. Fox Joined Coldplay To Play ‘Johnny B. Goode’

Coldplay isn’t cool. This is a generally accepted opinion amongst the music listening public. However, despite this fact, they are a very popular band, and they are also able to do something cool every now and then. Recently, the band did something unbelievably cool, and it involves the movie Back to the Future and Michael J. Fox.

Over the weekend, Coldplay was doing a concert at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The band showed a clip of Chris Martin’s son Moses asking his dad to play a song from their favorite movie, Back to the Future. Instead of striking up some Huey Lewis, he played the classic ballad “Earth Angel.” This would have been pretty cool, because “Earth Angel” is a very good song. But then, Martin brought out Marty McFly himself, Michael J. Fox, who strapped on a guitar and played along with the band.

To take things to the next level, after they finished “Earth Angel,” they played “Johnny B. Goode,” which excited the crowd and surely gave them that new (old) sound that they had been looking for.
