Which Corey Brewer Dunk Was Better? Robin Lopez vs. Derek Fisher

After posting up Corey Brewer’s posterization of Robin Lopez on the site this morning, a few people have been debating in the office, on our site and on Twitter about which Brewer dunk was better: Last night’s dunk on Lopez or December’s humiliation of Derek Fisher. But rather than yelling at each other during lunch, we figured we’d put the two dunks back-to-back and let the DimeMag.com faithful decide. Read More »

Corey Brewer Posterizes Robin Lopez

After Austin’s list of the Top 15 NBA In-Game Dunkers from Monday, I’m pretty sure that Corey Brewer must have been furious that he was all the way down at No. 9. There’s really no one that has consistently produced more posters than him. As for Robin Lopez, after THIS, he’s just having a bad week. Check out the vicious dunk after the jump. Read More »

NBA Trade Rumor: The Knicks Clear Even More Cap Space For LeBron & Co.

If most NBA teams don’t want to see LeBron James end up in New York, then they should stop making trades that allow them to do just that and steal another marquee free agent along the way. According to ESPN.com’s Chad Ford, the Knicks have a deal in principle that would send Darko Milicic to the Timberwolves for Brian Cardinal, with a trade call scheduled for Thursday morning. Jonny Flynn Talks Dunk Contest And Rookie Hazing in Minnesota

Even in the midst of a losing season, Minnesota Timberwolves rookie point guard, Jonny Flynn, still manages to keep a smile on his face. Returning to Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night was sort of a homecoming for the Niagara Falls (NY) native. For two seasons, Flynn starred at Syracuse and had some huge moments in the Garden – including the legendary, six overtime victory over Connecticut in the 2009 Big East Tournament. Read More »

Ramon Sessions Reveals Why He Didn’t Sign With The Knicks

Ramon Sessions may not be the biggest name in the NBA, but he’s somebody Knicks fans wouldn’t mind having on their team. Why? The 6-3 point guard has routinely had big games against New York. As a member of the Bucks last season, Sessions put up 22 points and 9 assists in one game against the Knicks and had 18 points and 8 dimes in another. He also had a 44 point and 12 assist effort in a game last year against the Pistons and had posted a 20 point and 24 assist game as a rookie two seasons ago. Read More »

Al Jefferson Addresses Trade Rumors And The Alleged Tension With Kevin Love

Al Jefferson (photo. Bethany Gilbert)

Right before the start of the season, I interviewed Wolves forward Al Jefferson for a big feature that ended up running in Dime #53. At the time, Big Al was still at home in Mississippi and was extremely optimistic about the season. He was telling me about how he thought this could be the year he makes his first All-Star team. Jefferson also thought that Minnesota could be a surprise team, much like the ‘08-09 Blazers team. Read More »

Damien Wilkins Channels Uncle Dominique

Last night, Damien Wilkins made his uncle Dominique proud with a ridiculous posterization of Nenad Krstic. The Thunder better hope he doesn’t head back to Europe after this. This has to be up there for Dunk of the Year.

Who Would You Like To See In NBA Jam?

Since hearing about the relaunch of NBA Jam, the talk of the office has been which players are going to make it in the game. As you know, the best part of NBA Jam back in the day was the player combinations. With that in mind, EA Sports has come through, giving fans the chance to select which three players from each team they would like to see represented in the revival. Read More »

Kevin Love Is Back, Ready To Put People In The Hurt Locker

For the first 18 games of the season, Kurt Rambis peered down the bench in search of something that could give his team any semblance of a spark. His lowly Minnesota Timberwolves were 2-17 and looking more like the Lake Michigan Admirals of the ABA, than a young NBA team on the rise. Enter Kevin Love. Read More »
