Montell Jordan is ready to do whatever he can to contribute to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The “This Is How We Do It” singer got brought up in relation to the struggling Cleveland Cavaliers, who are now without Kevin Love and continuing to suffer on the defensive end. Amid talk that Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert is actively trying to get rid of LeBron James, the team is looking to retool before the trade deadline.

And while you might think a 49-year-old R&B singer famous for contributing to the Rush Hour 2 soundtrack might not fix LeBron and the Cavs, all that matters is that Jordan is willing to give it a try.

It all started with an anonymous quote from the Cavs locker room that poked fun at the team’s struggles and the popular opinion that a trade for Los Angeles Clippers forward DeAndre Jordan could fix what ails the team this season.

It was a funny joke, even if it is a little out of nowhere. But Jordan somehow took notice of the tweet on Tuesday and replied to it, giving an estimate of his offensive contributions and saying he’s open to giving it a shot.

Jordan performed the national anthem in Phoenix for a Suns-Lakers game earlier this season, so he certainly knows his way around NBA arenas. And maybe those hard fouls would help defensively for a team that’s certainly appeared to have gone soft this season.
