“The (Other) Streak” is dead. 13 New York Knicks wins in a row undone by predominantly by one Nate Robinson, who came off the bench to give ‘em 35 in 33 minutes in a come-from-behind overtime win for the Bulls in Chicago … [Check out Nate's new custom Jordans] … The wonder of Nate was on full display for pretty much the entire game with plenty of the good (buckets, energy, tenacity) and a heaping helping of the bad (horrrrrible shots at inopportune times, knucklehead passes, constantly straddling the line of about-to-get-a T and/or punched in the face by an opponent, etc.). Perfect example: Read More »

Everyone knows Nate Robinson loves Air Jordans, and recently, he had famed sneaker painter Mache hook him up with four new custom pairs. Mache, known as one of the very best at what he does, opened the lid on Instagram and posted what he’s been working on for Chicago’s point guard: a couple of Air Jordan 13s, a blackout Air Jordan 11 and an Air Jordan 6. According to the Oxford Dictionaries, a “journeyman” is known as “a worker or sports player who is reliable but not outstanding.” In the NBA, this title is used frequently to describe a player that has bounced around the league and struggled to find long-term real estate. While some of the NBA’s elite journeyman have put up All-Star numbers, they often have not received All-Star recognition. Read More »

Wow. Check out this move and finish from Nate Robinson in last night’s Bulls/Blazers game. Nate splits the Portland double team with a reverse between-the-legs dribble and then jets down the lane to unleash a monster one-handed dunk: Read More »

When Nate Robinson and filmmaker T.J. Regan told us that State Of Nate was going to let us in on Robinson’s life, they meant it. In this season two episode, we head on over to Carlos Boozer‘s crib, where you get inside access into the mind of C-Booz (pretty funny). This is how a NBA player spends his All-Star Weekend. We fell asleep at some point in the third quarter, and when we woke to see the Lakers were back in it, we thought it was an entirely different game. In a way, it was. L.A. overcame a 25-point deficit in New Orleans last night to beat the Hornets, 108-102. They scored the game’s last 20 points, and held the hosts scoreless for the final 6:47. It felt more like a month. Read More »

It’s been a few months since Nate Robinson blessed us with a State Of Nate episode – maybe because he’s busy playing a major role out in the Windy City. With so many injuries this season, the Bulls are relying on Robinson more than expected, and in this episode, take a trip with Robinson through his new city. The capper is getting to tag along as Nate goes out to eat with Carlos Boozer. Read More »

So, when exactly is the latest “new” Lakers season starting? At the end of the third quarter last night in Phoenix’s unbelievable 92-86 win, all was right in L.A. The Lakers shot 65 percent in the third quarter, Kobe was dishing (17 points, nine assists) and L.A. was up double-digits. Then, Dwight Howard re-injured his shoulder, Michael Beasley (27 points) took it back to K-State, and the Lakers started unraveling. Read More »

*With all of the recent events surrounding the Carmelo Anthony/Kevin Garnett feud, and the trash talk involved that lit the Internet on fire, we figured it was a good time to repost our piece on the top 20 trash talkers of all time, originally published in October of 2012.*
David Stern and the rest of the suits might be charged with trying to take the fun out of the NBA, but trash talk will never die. Read More »
