Dime Q&A: Brandon Knight On Charity, The Bucks, & Expectations For 2014-2015

Brandon Knight

Being a basketball player in the NBA carries far greater responsibility than just playing for one of the 30 franchises in the league on a daily basis. There is that unwritten rule that players are supposed to give back. That mantra is one that some players may exercise through their team’s many community events and call it a day. But the vast majority of players do something more and take that responsibility a step further by forming their own charities or making appearances that allows them to do things outside of the team they play for.

On a sweltering August afternoon in South Florida, Milwaukee Bucks point guard Brandon Knight gave back to the community that helped him achieve so much of his success with a back to school drive at Margate’s Firefighter’s Park. Read More »

Derrick Rose

Injuries and busts and yes, even old age, all played a part in this one, but now that the fantasy season is ending, here is this year’s All-Disappointment Team. Many league titles probably came down to no-name players like Alec Burks and Darren Collison making huge contributions but much of the season was dominated by the continued absence and abysmal play of these five should-be studs. Video: O.J. Mayo Ties Shoe Instead Of Playing Defense

O.J. Mayo

There’s a lot to say about O.J. Mayo‘s disappointing 2013-14 season for the Bucks. They thought they’d landed another mid-tier scorer, someone who could handle shooting guard duties in light of Monta Ellis‘ opting out before signing in Dallas. But Mayo has struggled and clashed with coach Larry Drew, primarily concerning his effort on defense. That was all to apparent last night when the Nuggets were in town. Read More »

This year, through the first half of the 2013-14 season, Forbes calculates that it’s still a Knick who is the league’s most overpaid. Andrea Bargnani is this season’s most overpaid NBA player, shocking no one, except perhaps former Knicks GM Glen Grunwald who traded for the disappointing former No. 1 pick this summer. Read More »

10 Surprise NBA Players That Will Fall Off By Season’s End

O.J. Mayo

If there’s one thing everyone should learn from the beginning of the basketball season, it’s that overreactions come in a large supply. I mean… after the Sixers started the season 3-0, they appeared No. 1 in many power rankings across the basketball world. Whether that was a huge troll or not, it was still a massive overreaction to a team that won a few early games. The most important thing to remember is that the NBA season is 82 games long. We are only about 12 games in so far. Read More »
