I never saw Josh Smith or Rajon Rondo play in high school, unless you count watching on television. I never saw Carmelo Anthony play at Oak Hill, either. But I did see ‘Melo hoop at Towson Catholic High School. This was before the stardom, before Syracuse, even before the braids. Back then, Anthony was just a gifted teenager rocking an awesome mini afro. At the time, he was already one of the best high school players in the entire DMV area. He’d grow to be much more. You might not have heard of 6-5 junior swingman Jordan Adams yet, but you will. Playing for Oak Hill Academy this year, the Lawrenceville, Ga. native (who plays for the Atlanta Celtics and transferred from Central Gwinnett) had a ridiculous full-court shot yesterday against the Italian Jr. National Team that somehow found its way into the bottom of the net. But while most people might think he should just hang ‘em up, Jerry Stackhouse can’t go out like this. Read More »
