Watching the Pistons dynasty dismantle the past few years was like watching the cast of Saturday Night Live when they started to lose guys like David Spade, Adam Sandler and Chris Farley. Twelve years after Allen Iverson crossed-up Michael Jordan,Rodney Stuckey returned the favor. During Wednesday night’s game between the Sixers and Pistons, Stuckey not only had 27 points and 8 assists on A.I., but he also severely crossed-over the newly signed Sixer.
It’s easy to forget that Will Bynum once played at the University of Arizona. Most remember the Chicago playgound legend from his days at Georgia Tech, where he helped lead them to the championship game in 2005. But during his one year in Tucson, Bynum would occationally run into Gilbert Arenas, who at the time was a rookie with Golden State. Since you were probably preoccupied last night watching baseball and football, we took the liberty to give you some hoops highlights on the Columbus Day morning. During the Pistons/Hawks game last night, Detroit hit a buzzer beater at the end of each of the first three quarters. The first by Rip Hamilton, the second by Rodney Stuckey and the third by Ben Gordon. The Pistons 100-91 win over Atlanta last night makes them a perfect 3-0 in the preseason. While preseason records are not necessarily an indication of how the season will go, this is an impressive start for a squad that people think are on the decline.
