Sammy Watkins Suffered A Sprained Ankle And Caught A Touchdown On The Same Play

There were some question about whether or not dynamic Buffalo receiver Sammy Watkins would be able to play on Sunday. Watkins has been dealing with a bum calf, but he was cleared to play against Cincinnati and decided to give it a go.

Unfortunately for Bills fans, Watkins got hurt after catching a touchdown and it doesn’t look like he’ll be able to play anytime soon. Watkins slipped and fell in the end zone, but managed to haul in the 22-yard pass and cut Cincinnati’s lead to three points.

This slip looked rather innocuous, but the former Clemson star sprained his ankle on the play. Watkins left the field, and had to use crutches to make his way around.

This was only the fourth game that Watkins had the chance to play in this season. Hopefully his injury isn’t too severe, as he is one of the most entertaining young wide receivers in the NFL.
