Sidney Crosby Scored His 30th Goal Of The Year On This Amazing Individual Effort

Sidney Crosby looked pretty good on Thursday night, and not just because he was wearing the Penguins’ nifty third jersey.

During the first period of the Pens’ matchup against the Carolina Hurricanes, the superstar center scored his 30th goal of the season and it came on a spectacular individual effort. After collecting the puck in his own zone, Crosby managed to cut through the Carolina defense with both power and finesse before beating goaltender Eddie Lack to put the Pens on the board.

It’s certainly not the first time we’ve seen Crosby create a little magic by himself, but it doesn’t get any less special the more we get to witness it. The goal extended the captain’s point streak to 10 games, a welcome surge for a Pens team that is without Evgeni Malkin down the home stretch of the season.

His 31st goal, which came in the second period, wasn’t so bad either.
