Carlos Boozer Dunks All Over Bismack Biyombo & Drops Him To The Floor

Carlos Boozer

We mentioned this move in Smack, and as great as this finish was – one-handed, with the left, right over the top of Bismack BiyomboStacey King‘s call still beats it. King is always in rare form, and just minutes after this play, started lobbying that Chicago should have not one, not two, but three All-Stars (Luol Deng, Joakim Noah and… Carlos Boozer). The man loves him some Bulls. Read More »

Rudy Gay Saves Memphis; A King Makes A Game-Winner In D.C.

Rudy Gay

The last time Rudy Gay posted up Evan Turner, the Sixers appointed nerd damn near ripped Gay’s arm out of his socket. That was back in 2011, and since then, Gay, Zach Randolph and the Grizz can’t go a week without someone pointing out that their marriage is doomed for failure. This time, the Gay-on-Turner post-up worked out a little better in Memphis’ three-point win in Philadelphia. Read More »

Sometimes we wish the NBA was more like the NFL. In football, you must bring your best effort or you’ll be left looking like Mark Sanchez on Monday Night Football, getting your skills compared to Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite. Read More »

Joe Johnson Gets A Crazy Compliment; Dirk Gets Jiggy Wit’ It

Joe Johnson

Joe Johnson, Dime #37

Well at least New York can say for sure that Carmelo Anthony is alive. Still, the Hawks beat them by 10 after withstanding an old school ‘Melo performance (36 points, nine rebounds). At one point in the fourth, after Joe Johnson (28 points) had rocked the Knicks to sleep on three consecutive pull-ups, we heard the Hawk announcers say, “When it comes to clutch shooters in this league, Joe Johnson has to be in the top two.” However the two biggest shots of the game came from Willie Green (8-for-9, 20 points). Jeremy Lin Has His Best Night Yet; John Wall Blows Up

Jeremy Lin Amar'e Stoudemire ny post

Wow. Nothing else really needs to be said at this point. Jeremy Lin has done some cool things, but last night he took it to another level, wetting a pull-up jumper in Canada’s face with less than a second left in a tie game. The swag was ridiculous; In the huddle before he closed the fridge on the Raptors, Lin told Mike D’Antoni to give him an iso. Then he went out and capped the best night yet of the Jeremy Lin tour with New York’s come-from-behind 90-87 win. Read More »

Derrick Rose Drives Home A Point Against Atlanta; Kobe Bryant Shuts Everyone Up

Derrick Rose

Derrick Rose (photo. adidas)

Just when we were set to believe in Atlanta, they collapsed, fell apart, couldn’t make a free throw and now everyone in Chicago is probably sending Jeff Teague thank you cards. Derrick Rose reached out and ripped out the Hawks’ heart before Luol Deng put the winning touches on top in the Bulls huge come-from-behind win (the Hawks led by 19) at home against Atlanta, 76-74. How did the final few possessions go? It was a lot of Rose vs. Teague. First, with about a minute left, the MVP blew by Teague and nearly elevated to Mars at the rim. After the Hawks’ point forced Rose (30 points, seven assists) into an ugly miss on Chicago’s next possession, Teague came down and with tap water in his veins, missed both freebies. So just to rub it in, Rose came down and sped past Teague again to score at the rim. Read More »
