Another season is in the books in Philly’s Chosen League, and the title this summer was taken home by Wayne Ellington‘s squad, which was led by Rysheed Jordan and Jahyde Gardiner. Over the summer, Ballin365 had the privilege of witnessing the best outdoor high school baseketball league in the country. And while you’ve already seen some highlights from the regular season, here is a recap of the Final Four and Championship Game from The Chosen League. As you can see, Philly ballplayers are no joke, as almost every kid in the league is D-I bound.
As you know, this summer Dime sponsored a team in The Chosen League. While we finished the regular season with an undefeated 5-0 record, we lost last night, 64-61, in a Final Four matchup against Thaddeus Young‘s squad. We told you earlier this summer that Dime sponsored a team in The Chosen League, and after the regular season we finished atop the standings with an undefeated 5-0 record. With the playoffs starting last night, we thought now was as good a time as any to drop The Chosen League Mixtape, featuring the best high school players in Philly including Daiquan Walker, Maurice Watson, Rysheed Jordan, Amir Garrett and many, many more. If you play basketball and are from Philly, then chances are you know about The Chosen League. Founded by Rahim Thompson in 2002, well over 1,000 players have participated in the free summer league for high school student-athletes, with over 60 players going on to play Division I basketball.
