Best Of NBA Instagram: Stephen Jackson Got His “Love Back” After The Way His Season Ended

Right before the San Antonio Spurs began dissecting the Western Conference elite on their way to the 2013 NBA Finals, they decided to release Stephen Jackson. It was a tough moment for Captain Jack, but now it looks to be in the past as he appears to be moving on.

During the NBA Finals, where his former team took the champion Heat to a game 7, Jackson spoke with USA Today, about being waived by the Spurs right before postseason play. Jackson added that three teams had contacted him directly after he was waived, but he failed to mention which three teams had reached out to him.

The Spurs forward also said he’s confident that he’ll sign with another team this summer, but so far he’s without an NBA contract. That uncertainty hasn’t stopped him from preparing as if he’s set to play in his 14th NBA season.

Jackson took to Instagram today dripping in sweat after his second workout, and declared that he’d gotten his love back for the game after all that transpired at the end of a tough NBA season.

Jackson might not have a team just yet, but he seems hungry to get back on the floor.

Do you think a team will pick up Captain Jack for next season? If so, where will he land?
